THE MARYSVILLE RIFLE CLUB SPONSORS CLASSES
The Marysville Rifle Club is sponsoring NRA pistol courses open to the public. These courses are taught by certified NRA Training Counselors and Instructors. These courses include NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the home
The NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home class develops the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self defense. This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by the applicable federal, state and local laws. An important part of this course is the lesson titled “FIREARMS AND THE LAW: POSSESSION, OWNERSHIP, AND THE USE OF DEADLY FORCE”. This segment will be conducted by an attorney licensed to practice law in Washington and familiar with this area of the law.
The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Course introduces you to the knowledge, skills and attitude involved in safely, responsibly and effectively employing a concealed pistol for self defense. This is an intensive course, as you learn and practice many diverse shooting skills in order to respond quickly and appropriately to the broad range of threats you may encounter outside the home. You also learn and understand the unique safety and legal issues that apply when a concealed pistol is carried in the public. As in the Personal Protection Inside the Home course, an important part of this course is the lesson titled “LEGAL ASPECTS OF CONCEALED CARRY AND SELF DEFENSE”. This segment will be conducted by an attorney licensed to practice law in Washington and familiar with this area of the law.

April 6-7, Personal Protection Outside the Home (Basic Course) - Capacity 12 & May 4-5, Personal Protection Outside the Home (Advanced Course) - Capacity 12 $250 for the series
June 1-2, Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor - Capacity 12 $150
July No class - Independence Day
August 4 First Steps Shotgun
September No class - SASS Standoff Annual Regional Match
October 5-6, Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor - Capacity 12 $200
