The following shooting disciplines are open to the public:
Public Recreational Shooting
Where the public can have a safe, organized place to shoot their rifles and handguns.
Shotgun Sports
Trap and Sporting Clays.
Junior Rifle
open to juniors from 10 years old to 21 years old
Black Powder / Muzzleloaders
Muzzleloaders are a breed apart. They tend to be highly individualistic, harking back to the mountain men of an earlier era. The concept of independent self-sufficiency is central to their discipline.
Cowboy Action Shooting
Pistols, rifles, and shotguns from the 1890’s Old West.
Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP)
CMP matches and Tommy Atkins bolt action service rifle events and 200 yd Open Rifle practices
IPSC/USPSA
Matches are open to the public, but must be USPSA safety checked.
Police Pistol Combat Competitions
Open to active and reserve law enforcement and affiliated military police.

Hunter Education
WDFW Hunter Education classes are held throughout the year at the MRC.
NRA Instructor Courses
The Marysville Rifle Club is sponsoring a series of National Rifle Association training classes. Among these are the Basic Personal Protection Inside the Home and the new Personal Protection Outside the Home classes. These classes teach the basics in how to defend yourself in confrontations that may require the use of deadly force both in your home and in the publeic sector. The classes also deal with the legal aftermath that may occur if the use of deadly force is required. The classes teach the basics in how to be aware of your surroundings, how to avoid potential trouble spots, what needs to be in your planning in case of home break-in. The basics of carrying concealed firearms and how to access them in emergencies.
